This blog, written by Thomas E. Rutledge, focuses primarily on business entity law in Kentucky. Postings on contract law, contractual and statutory construction, and the entity law of other jurisdictions appear as well. There may as well be some random discussions of classical, medieval and renaissance history.

Delaware Reverses Course on Illegal Pete’s
Reverses Course on Illegal Pete’s
In a prior posting, I discussed how the Delaware Secretary
of State was refusing to register the name “Illegal Pete’s,” a Colorado-based
restaurant chain, on the basis that the name had “a negative connotation.” HEREIS A LINK to that posting.
According to a story on the AP Wire released August 2, 2019
(HERE IS A LINK to that story), the Delaware Secretary of State has reversed
course and has filed the documents required for the chain to become a Delaware
LLC under that name.
