Most of
the Private Sector Workforce is Employed by Pass-through Businesses
Years ago when LLCs were first being developed we saw them
as an alternative to S-corporations for closely held businesses. Today they dominate the organizational form
calculus. In most (I would say all, but
I have not checked of late), far more LLCs are organized than are corporations.
A recent report from the Tax Foundation reports that
in all but two states, more people are employed by pass-through entities (of
which most are LLCs) than by traditional C-corporations.
HERE IS A LINK to that report.
